Before anything else, I want to emphasize: if this is your first time visiting Pungirls, do not feel obligated in any way to donate. Just check out the site, peruse the archives, and have a good time. Have as good a time as you can given that the comic's premise is horrible puns, that is.

Dwight sent me an email a couple of weeks ago, telling me that the Pungirls domain name would expire on September 12th. I figured I wouldn't renew, but then I thought about it from you guys' perspective. How would I feel if one of the retired comics that I followed and enjoyed, say T-N-T or Basic Wage Kids, just dropped off the face of the 'net without a trace? You come to expect that the archives will always be there, and if some day they aren't, it's sad for you. And it's not fair to vanish.

So I thought about it. And I decided to let you guys decide.

I'm not going to let Pungirls drop out and vanish without notice. If you, the few readers who are sticking around these days, want to keep the archive online, just pitch in and help keep it up. I've given this decision some thought, and Pungirls--if it's going to stick around in any capacity--needs to be able to float its own weight. I lost a lot of money printing up shirts that never sold. So, if you like having the archives around and getting random punny updates when I'm struck by a comic idea, pitch in a couple bucks. You've got plenty of time to think it over.
